Located across from UNH's Rudman Hall, the fire station at 51 College Road serves as the living quarters for all on-duty full-time personnel and houses all equipment for the Durham Fire Rescue Department.  It also houses the Administrative and Fire Prevention Bureau offices. 

Ladder One, Tanker One, Rescue One, Engines One and Two, Medic One and the Forestry all respond from this location and cover 25.5 square miles of response area.  The station serves the town of Durham and the main Campus of the University of New Hampshire which has a daytime population of approximatly 30,000 persons.  It is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by Professional Emergency Service providers.  Responses include, but are not limited to calls for Fire Suppression, Advanced Life Support Medical Care, Vehicle Extrication and Hazardous Materials Mitigation.  Non-emergency services such as Property Inspections, Permits and other Fire Prevention services are available during regular business hours.
